Since the filming of The Nights of the Iguana in 1964, this place boomed from a sleepy fishing village with no roads, to what it is today. Contrast some of the shots from 1964 with 2007's.
Where did I go?
-Mismaloya was where the filming took place (I explored that by local bus)
-Yelapa is further south, and only accessible today by boat (so, this is probably how it was).
-Puerto Vallarta, of course is the tourist destination.
-San Sebastian del Oeste, is a little drive up the Sierra Madres.
